Reiki

Reiki’s natural healing energy works on every level, not just the physical, and promotes the body’s regenerative self healing ability.  

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive therapy whose purpose is to treat holistically to restore balance and harmony The energy of Reiki can be used to great effect in many ways helping to alleviate stress and tension.

What happens during a Reiki treatment?
Before giving a treatment, I like to discuss my client's expectations - what they're hoping to achieve from a treatment and for them to tell me a little bit about any problems they might have.

You'll then lie down in a comfortable and peaceful environment. There is no need to remove any clothing. Hands are then gently placed on or a few inches above the body, in a series of positions.  By doing this, the healing energy is drawn to wherever it is needed in the body.  Your body will draw in only as much Reiki as is needed, using it in whatever way is most appropriate.

After treatment, clients experience a sense of calm and well-being. Clients often find that the answer to a question or a solution to a problem has entered their mind, or it might have helped them make a decision. Many people report an improvement in sleeping patterns and a reduction in stress levels. There is no right or wrong way to experience a Reiki treatment - every person is unique and Reiki respects this.

Who can have Reiki?
As Reiki is a gentle energy, it may be used safely by people of all ages and alongside conventional medication or natural remedies.
