What happens during a Reiki treatment?
At your first treatment, the practitioner will carry out a consultation to determine essential medical information and to find out what you are hoping to achieve from receiving Reiki.
The Client lies down in a comfortable and peaceful environment. There is no need to remove any clothing. The therapist places their hands gently in a series of positions on the body and by doing this, the therapist is acting as a conduit for the flow of the universal energy. The client's system automatically draws in only as much Reiki as is needed, using it in whatever way is most appropriate.
After treatment, clients experience a sense of calm and well-being. Clients often find that the answer to a question or a solution to a problem has entered their mind, or it might have helped them make a decision. Many people report an improvement in sleeping patterns and a reduction in stress levels. There is no right or wrong way to experience a Reiki treatment - every person is unique and Reiki respects this.
Who can have Reiki?
As Reiki is a gentle energy, it may be used safely by people of all ages and alongside conventional medication or natural remedies.
